Here for you and your horse

What is Equine Osteopathy?

Equine osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that restores balance and mobility throughout your horse’s body. By releasing tension in muscles, joints, and fascia, it helps improve movement, performance, and overall wellbeing. Whether your horse is recovering from injury, showing signs of stiffness, or simply needs a tune-up, osteopathy supports natural healing—enhancing comfort, suppleness and performance.

What techniques will you use?

The techniques chosen will be unique to your horse, there is no set script. Bryony calls on a vast number of modalities in her tool box to ensure your horse has the best outcome. Techniques include joint mobilisations, joint manipulations, dynamic stretches, myofascial release, autonomic nervous system balancing, proprioceptive techniques and many more.

Is Osteopathy suitable for all horses?

Osteopathy is suitable for most horses because its gentle, adaptable techniques can be tailored to age, discipline, temperament, and health status, supporting comfort, mobility, and performance whatever the situation. Sometimes it's required to work alongside your vet to ensure your horse receives safe and effective treatment, and occasionally there are contraindications such as pregnancy or acute injury and inflammation which may not make Osteopathy a suitable treatment choice.
